Finance Fellow
About The Position
Position Title: Finance Fellow
Program/ Department: Finance
Work location: Bay Area (SF/Oakland) - On-site at least one day/ week
Classification: FT, 40 hours/week, Non-Exempt
Compensation: $22/ hour
Reports to: Finance Director
The Position: The Finance Fellow is a full-time staff member of the Finance Team. The Finance Fellow supports the day-to-day finance tasks of the organization under the supervision of the Finance Director.
Finance Responsibilities
General Finance Administration
- Open, scan, and file incoming checks and mail addressed to the Finance team in an organized and timely manner.
- Log all received checks on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation in the shared drive.
- Provide general support to Finance team members on special tasks and projects as assigned.
Expense Management
- Review monthly organizational expense reports and compare them against credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with credit card account reconciliation by identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Code monthly credit card expense reports for the Finance team.
- Review per diem and employee expense reimbursements in accordance with internal policies.
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Review payment requests and request required documentation as needed
- Enter bills into Bill.com accurately and on schedule.
- Onboard new vendors and maintain ongoing relationships, ensuring timely communication and compliance.
- Maintain current and complete vendor documentation, including contracts, W-9s, ACH forms, and contract authorization forms.
Documentation & Reporting
- Assist the Finance team in preparing invoices for cost-reimbursable grants and contracts by collecting and organizing receipts
Qualifications:
